Life at PLG:

  • As a Law Clerk, Jamar supports our criminal defense and civil litigation teams.
  • Jamar will graduate from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in December 2018 and will sit for the Indiana Bar Exam in February 2019.

Life before PLG:

  • Jamar graduated in 2003 from Western Michigan University (B.B.A. in Sales and Business Marketing and Music).
  • Before joining PLG, Jamar was a law clerk at an Indianapolis law firm, served as a deputy prosecutor extern for the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, and served as a legislative assistant for the Hoosier State Press Association.
  • During law school, Jamar has been a moot court competitor, trial team competitor, and was recognized as an Elite 50 graduate student in 2018.
  • Prior to law school, Jamar was a sales and leadership consultant. Jamar has been recognized in Indianapolis Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” and as an Emerging Leader by 100 Black Men of Indianapolis.

Life beyond PLG:

  • Jamar is on the executive board of the Indiana Democrat African American Caucus. He also founded the nonprofit, Cluck, that gives training scholarships to the next generation of political hopefuls.
  • Jamar enjoys playing the piano and organ, long-distance cycling, serving at his church, and spending time with his daughter and his fiancée.
