Rachel Bir represents clients in commercial and civil litigation cases. She also has extensive experience related to renewable energy litigation, including judicial review of administrative agency decisions, challenges to board of zoning appeals’ actions, and tax appeals.
Rachel graduated from Smith College, where she double majored in philosophy and government, and obtained her law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where she was a member of the Dean’s Tutorial Society and served on the Staton Moot Court Competition Executive Board. During law school, Rachel received the Mitzi H. Martin Moot Court Winning Team Award and the Christopher M. Maine Advocacy Award for her work in McKinney’s moot court competition. Rachel also represented McKinney at the American Bar Association's National Appellate Advocacy Competition where she was named a Regional Finalist.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her three dogs and being involved in the community, including serving as pro bono counsel for children in the foster care system through Child Advocates and serving on the Park Tudor School Alumni Association Board of Directors.
